Following Black and Veatch, Mr. Fleming has accumulated substantial engineering experience within the chemical, computer, and transportation industries.

At BASF Corporation, Mr. Fleming provided design and start‐up services for a nylon process plant.  This included a process batch mixing system, nylon chip pneumatic conveying systems and nylon polymerization control.

At Tyco Electronics, Mr. Fleming was the plant electrical engineer in charge of the control systems for connector assembly machines manufacturing computer connector and cabling parts.

At Daimler Truck North America, Mr. Fleming was the senior engineer in charge of automotive control systems including all power train and body power and control systems.
Recent Projects
  • Easley Common Utilities, Easley, SC – Install Survalent SCADA system expansion consisting of SCOUT remote terminal units, SCADA database development, Worldview software operator interface screens and electrical system data logging and historical reporting.
  • Easley Common Utilities, Easley, SC – Develop project proposals for standby generator power at the utility operations center including both open transition and closed transition interface with the power grid.
  • Easley Common Utilities, Easley, SC – Develop SEL Real Time Automation Controller, RTAC, data base and operator interface screens. Interfacing data from multiple IED’s over serial cable lines and Ethernet multi-mode fiber optic lines.
  • Waynesville, NC – Perform an assessment of the wastewater treatment plant electrical and instrumentation/control systems including condition of equipment, operational reliability, electrical power system safety/capacity including standby generator capacity, Allen Bradley Factory Talk SCADA system implementation.
  • Michelin Tire, Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Installation and start‐up of 4.16 kV, 4250 kVAr tuned capacitor bank in the manufacturing plant switchgear room.
  • Michelin Tire, Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Installation and start‐up of 44 kV power transformer and circuit breaker in the manufacturing plant substation.
  • North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC) – Verify and test I/O for 6 gas turbine generator plants rated 64 megawatts each.  Upgrade the control system communication system from 10/100MB to 1 GB data transfer rate by upgrading fiber transceivers to small form pluggable SFP’s.
  • Georgetown, SC – Peak Shaving Generation Plant consisting of two 2 MW, tier IV factory certified emissions diesel engine generator sets.  Installation of bulk diesel fuel and diesel exhaust fluid systems, CO2 fire extinguishing system, and variable speed air compressor system.  Upgrade SCADA system using Wonderware software.  Integrate the plant SCADA data map in SEL Real Time Automation Controller, RTAC.  Extend the City wide fiber‐optic ring into the plant.
