Project Experience
UTEC provides Construction Observation services for many of its projects.

The construction project usually begins with a pre-construction meeting of UTEC, Contractor, Sub-contractors, and the client to review the scope of work, construction issue drawings, and address any issues that may arise.

Key Construction Service Activities include:

• Supervision of Delivery – major equipment and materials
• Periodic Inspection of Construction Tasks – site work, foundations, grounding, equipment erection, conduit & raceway installation, etc.
• Progress Review Meetings – in person and/or conference calls/zoom meetings with summary memos and action item list to assure construction proceeds as scheduled
• Review of Shop Drawings – Contractor furnished equipment and materials
• Field Questions – receive and respond to questions that arise during construction
• Change Order Requests– review and approve change order requests
• Progress Payments – receive and review monthly payment requests from Contractor based on percentage complete of each task provided in the Contractor cost breakdown
• Install Relay Settings
• Relay Testing
• Supervision of Major Equipment Testing
• Supervision of Commissioning
• Final Inspection – prepare punch list for Contractor and ensure all items have been addressed
• Record Drawings – receive and review field markups of construction drawings, provide Owner with accurate record drawings for completed project

The end result is a completely functioning project that works and looks as designed
